Panamanian researcher Ms Lany Valdés completed a one-month internship at the University of
Los Lagos in Osorno, Chile, to collaborate with Professor Jaime Rau on a written text about the
conservation of urban forests near the Panama Canal. This project, funded by SENACYT and
focused on climate change mitigation and water resource protection, is part of a two-year
research effort that will conclude in 2025.
