Accreditation, academical quality, a privileged place in the south of the world, are some of the elements that come into play in the election of the national and international students that choose ULagos to undertake their internship in the second semester of 2022.

According to the university authority, the former answers to indicators “of tremendous importance for the processes of future acreditation, where the internationalization and national mobility represent an important aspect for our institutional development”, he said.
Election
One of the factors that come into play in the election of national students to pick ULagos, “is that most of the students who arrive at the university are from the pedagogy careers, therefore the accreditation of the pedagogical careers is a mechanism that we could call attraction for the arrival of students; without a doubt, also the staff of academics who make up our teams of professors on campuses”, said Rodrigo Márquez, Director of International Relations.
Students
Saúl Clavel Escobar is a fifth-year agronomy student at the University of Michoacan, San Nicolas Hidalgo, Mexico, notes that “it caught my attention mainly, how to grow the products, the landscapes, the culture, academically, way of teaching. I want to take the learning of how to cultivate, mainly what they grow in Chile, the traditions, their landscapes,” he said.
Fourth-year student of the Pedagogy career in History and Geography of the University of Playa Ancha in Valparaiso, Daniela Reyes states “I liked the curriculum of the degree here in ULagos. Also the place, which made me decide for Osorno. I want to gain experience, meet more people, the life in Osorno. I come from a very hectic place and when I arrived here, I realized that it is different, people are quieter, is a completely different state of life. This is the kind of experience I want to gain”, she said.
At the same time, Dafne Ortega, fourth-year psychology student at the State University of Michoacán, San Nicolás de Hidalgo, in the city of Morelia, indicates that “the curriculum intested me, its similar to the one I have, which is very important. I couldn’t be in any university with diverse subjects, not similar and the Universidad de Los Lagos, had a smilarity in the career of psychology. I really like psychology, there is a lot of field of study. I would like to learn about everything and thus treat the mental health of any person, but with an emphasis on working with children,” she said.
Melany Mussre, is a fourth-year law student at the Universidad de Chile. She explained her choice of ULagos in her law career; “It is a university that began with the career very recently (2019), so the teaching methodology will be quite new for me, when compared to the law school of the U de Chile, which everyone knows, has a lot of trajectory, to a house of studies that is just beginning. I want to see that contrast in the way law is taught and in the relationship of academics with students. The other reason of choosing ULagos is that a while ago I got married and my husband is from Osorno, graduates in October and the opportunity of this internship arose so I can accompany him in his graduation process”, she said
